This made me laugh this am especially as my husband and our friend are busy renovating one of our bathrooms at the moment.

Grazie mille for the useful vocabulary! Una perdita--I need to use that very word today when I call the plumber for a wet patch on my wall!! And if he doesn't come immediately I'll start using your torrente, fiume, mare, alluvione, etc. Sicilians love exaggeration, so I'm sure that will win him over!

Thanks for hte kind words.

I agree that it takes more time and effort to learn a language as an adult. But it helps keep the brain at its best--and with Italian, it's great fun too.

Nice written post, Your article is showing how sweet the Italian language is,
What I learned when I tried to learn Italian as an adult is that the adult brain learns language differently and not as fast, But your dedication can make your way easier. with hard work you can always be good at anything. Thanks for sharing all this stuff with us.
