What a great word! I've never heard it before. Does it translate as "great big baby"? Do people take it as an insult?

And don't forget "bamboccione", a buzz-word started by the former Finance Minister Padoa-Schioppa denouncing that Italian economy was negatively affected by the "bamboccioni", thirty-something people with a temporary job, unable to decide what to do with their lives and to reach financial independence from their families, thus living with their parents far beyond the average age young people in Europe leave their parental home....
